Kriss Mitchell is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of
Idaho as well as holding certification in Rehabilitation Counseling,
Natural Health and Board Certification from the Board of Christian
Professional and Pastoral Counselors as well as the International Assn
of Prayer Counselors. She is also a Domestic Violence Evaluator
appointed by the Supreme Court of the State of Idaho.
Kriss is gentle, humorous and compassionate, and
believes that it is personal revelation which produces life-changing
results. Her belief that unresolved emotional issues are foundational
to all personal and physical problems is foundations to the work that
she does. Her areas of specialty include performance anxiety, identity
issues, sexual, spiritual and domestic abuse, addictions, couples
counseling and she also works with individuals who have dissociative
issues or adult children of Borderline parents or alcoholics. She is
trained in EMDR which is considered the most effective therapy for
trauma.
As a teacher, she has a very down to earth yet
animated style, connecting with her listeners through humor, powerful
examples and easily applicable truths. Her personal history is one
which allows her to empathize with abuse victims, addicts, victims of
bullying tactics and the journey it takes to heal and restore personal
value as well as identity. Kriss has been married for 32 years, and has
four grown children. In addition, she is an accomplished recording
artist and enjoys gardening, photography, crafts and travel.
